Quizmericks

The Twitmericks Review of the year featured in a pub quiz in north London on Monday.
Quizmaster and crossword compiler John Henderson gave quizzers at the Elephant pub in Finchley the first four lines of my limericks, which were to be completed by taking the first letters of the answers to each round.
They then had to write their own limerick about Berlusconi.

Here’s my own limerick to John, which he read out to the assembled punters:

John H does a quiz at the Elephant
Which makes Monday night such a swell event
The patter is corny
The questions are thorny
And the answers obscure and irrelevant.

And here’s the winning quizzers’ entry (so not one of mine):

God bless Silvio Berlusconi
Who people still say is a phoney
Not his tart from Bologna
A fat bird named Sonja
Who cooks up a mean minestrone.
